Dear WE staff,
Welcome to the 2018 staff trip! This trip is hosted every two years and we’re thrilled to invite you and your loved ones to visit our WE Villages projects and communities, which you work so tirelessly to support throughout the year. During the staff trip, we are honoured to welcome you as our guests—this time both in Kenya and Ecuador. Visit the people and communities you help support through your work every day, witness firsthand the outcome of your commitment and passion, meet our in-country teams and staff from our offices around the world, and feel the magic of our volunteer trips.
This trip is heavily subsidized by ME to WE to allow staff to take part in this incredible experience. We hope you can make it, and encourage you to share this experience with you friends and family!

We encourage staff to bring along a family member, partner or friend so they can experience the impact you make with your work every day! You’re welcome to bring along more than one guest with you on your adventure to Kenya.
Staff members are invited to travel at a discounted cost, and are asked to cover their flight costs as well as a small amount for AMREF insurance and New Year’s Eve fun!
The flight is estimated at $2,200 departing from Toronto.
The package of AMREF and New Year’s Eve festivities is $125.
We know you work hard year-round to make the vision of our organization come to life—as a thank you, the on-the-ground experience for staff is being paid for by the organization (this includes food, accommodations, activities, safari, etc.).
All guests pay an additional $1,000 on top of their flight and AMREF/New Year’s Eve fee to help us cover costs on the ground. Children under two years old are invited to join at only an additional $250.

At that point we will outline the process for payment deadlines, flight bookings, rooming allocations and more.
If you plan on booking your flight separate from the group, we will share details for this process with you as well. We ask that you please hold off booking flights until we have the group flight details confirmed. This should all be communicated out to you in the next two weeks.
