Explore history and culture in Africa’s oldest independent country
Join ME to WE on an incredible journey to Ethiopia—our newest WE Villages partner community! Located in the Horn of Africa, with a population of nearly 100 million people, Ethiopia is the oldest independent country in Africa—one of the few African countries to have never been colonized. The area is geographically diverse, containing jungles, deserts and countless rivers. From your base in the northern Tigray region, your group will have the chance to discover Ethiopia’s fascinating history and cultural roots. Visit the first communities in Ethiopia to partner with WE Villages, and work together as a group on a sustainable development project. Your group will return home with the inspiration and skills to continue making a difference in their school and community.
