Kenya: An Authentic Teambuilding Adventure
Connect as a team on a Kenyan volunteer adventure you will never forget. Volunteer in Kenya in a rural community and immerse yourself in the unique culture. You’ll educate, motivate and reward your team by giving them the opportunity to see the impact of their fundraising contributions and volunteering with their own eyes.
Foster camaraderie and friendship while gaining a deeper understanding of the social issues that locals face—through on-the-job learning with the community during the day, and in the evenings by the fire at our unique bush bar—led by guest speakers, knowledgeable facilitators and in-country staff.
Volunteer and learn about the joys and challenges of a traditional way of life first-hand. Discover the beauty of the people and the community, and return from the trip feeling like you’ve received more than you’ve given: trust, respect and solidarity.
Initiate a corporate culture of global-mindedness by contributing to sustainable development and making a physical impact on the landscape of the community—all while working alongside families and community members.

Optimism for their children’s lives and appreciation for the work of Free The Children its staff and volunteers exuded everywhere we went. Dance, song and friendly roadside wave kept smiles on our faces. We participated in a water walk with the Mama’s of Kipsongol. (Appeared in the Calgary Herald blog April 23, 2013) — The smile of a young girl named Judy is one I will never forget. My short conversation with her leaves an indelible impression on my heart and in my mind, and – as I discover weeks later – it becomes one of my most lasting memories of a trip to East Africa with Calgary’s Awali group. Awali was formed by a group of Calgary philanthropists seven years ago. They’ve raised $5 million (largely from Albertans) to help fund professional development programs for teachers in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
