See the World, Help the Earth. Yes, it's Possible.

Here at Me to We Trips, we understand the environmental implications that international travel has for our planet. In turn, we are committed to reducing our ecological footprint as much as possible.

Every year in the communities where we work, we are launching new green initiatives that help local ecosystems, like serving local food at our schools, planting organic gardens at our leadership centres, and running reforestation projects at our sites around the globe. From guaranteeing that all our literature is printed on recycled paper in our Toronto office, to travelling locally by public transit or hybrid vehicles, we are always looking for new ways to improve our environmental stewardship. And through our Go Green education programs, Me to We's message of sustainability has reached more than 10,000 youth worldwide.

Sustainability Initiatives

Sustainability is at the heart of all Free The Children's development work and at the core of the Me to We philosophy. Together, we are committed to making lasting positive change in the world while ensuring that our planet and its resources remain sustainable for all.

Planting a brighter future

Every year 120,000 indigenous seedlings are planted at schools built by our charity partner, Free The Children, to stop erosion of land, provide shade and contribute to healthy ecosystems. We believe that a school should be not only a centre of learning, but a green space and a centre of community.

Environmental Education

Teaching young people about environmental stewardship is a cornerstone of all our education programs. Our Go Green initiatives are reaching more than 5,000 students in Kenya alone, imparting the leaders of tomorrow with a sense of thinking globally and acting locally for future generations.

Green Building

Both Free The Children schools and our Bogani cottages in Kenya are constructed entirely from renewable, indigenous materials, built in partnership with local workers and contractors. In every brick and beam, we try to set an example of walking softly, travelling lightly and making a difference in through small actions.
