Me to We's Ecuador trips take students deep into the indigenous communities of the country's rugged Andes mountain regions. The natural landscapes are an ideal classroom for lessons on conservation, biodiversity and rural development issues.
Students will spend their days drawing out the connection between their Ecuadorian experience and their world at home with a retreat either to Ecuador's vast cloud forest or the Amazon Rainforest. They will explore the contrasts of urban and rural life, and delve into global issues such as the indigenous movement, women's rights and environmental sustainability.
The country's rich cultures, contrasted against a history of indigenous issues and economic disparities, makes for a truly hands-on global education experience.
Here at Me to We Trips, we understand the environmental implications that international travel has on our planet. In turn, we are committed to reducing our ecological footprint as much as possible in our office, while in transit and in our overseas programming.
