EXPLORE ANCIENT TRADITIONS & EMERGING DEVELOPMENTS

TRIP OVERVIEW

The voyage into India gives university students a chance to see a nation undergoing a transformation like few countries have ever experienced. While parts of India's culture are deeply tied to ancient traditions and philosophies, the economy is hurtling forward into the world of global commerce.

Students will spend their days building a school for a rural community, teaching English and playing co-operative games with the local children. Evening sessions are full of discussions about history and current developmental challenges.

By undergoing intensive leadership training and analyzing complex social issues like poverty and child labour, students will begin to think critically about how they affect India and Asia as a whole.

SUSTAINABLE TRIPS

Here at Me to We Trips, we understand the environmental implications that international travel has on our planet. In turn, we are committed to reducing our ecological footprint as much as possible in our office, while in transit and in our overseas programming. SAFETY IS OUR MAIN CONCERN

For our team at We to We, ensuring our trip participants' safety while overseas is our first priority - from the moment a participant steps foot on the plane, to the moment he or she arrives safely at home. Safety is always at the forefront, because it needs to be to truly ensure the Me to We experience.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

When I returned from the volunteer trip, I got more than what I asked for. Not only did I appreciate the life I had a lot more, but the trip really ignited my passion for helping others and let me see the world in a broader view. Instead of just seeing a slideshow or video about poverty, experiencing it first-hand is completely different. – Simon Lee, student/trip participant
