Spending time with our field workers in Kenya, students are given the opportunity not only to participate in a school-building or clean water project, but also to converse with those on the ground implementing the programs all year long. In addition, students will examine gender roles and learn about the health issues facing populations in rural poverty.
Evening sessions are facilitated by our top Me to We staff and guest lectures are given by our community mobilizers. Local experts speak on issues affecting the community, and professors join us to add new perspectives. Students will have time to draw upon each other?s experiences and will better understand the world we live in and how we all have a role in creating our global reality.
Here at Me to We Trips, we understand the environmental implications that international travel has on our planet. In turn, we are committed to reducing our ecological footprint as much as possible in our office, while in transit and in our overseas programming.
