Russ McLeod

As executive director of Me to We Books and Music, Russ McLeod helped to bring Me to We: Finding Meaning in a Material World to the New York Times Best Seller list. His vision led the Free The Children team to the successful planning and execution of multiple We Day events, gathering tens of thousands of youth and educators and featuring inspirational and motivational speeches and performances by leading activists, speakers and entertainers including His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Dr. Jane Goodall, Mia Farrow, Sarah McLachlan and many more.

The direct impact of the We Day events has meant that youth across the country took action to build schools and clean water projects for tens of thousands in the developing world.

Russ also coordinates the relationship management of high profile partnerships including CTV, MTV, Canadian Living and several of Free The Children's celebrity supporters.

Russ is a seasoned speaker and has travelled throughout North America, Germany and China, giving keynote addresses at events, conferences and universities. He has also facilitated trips and training in Kenya, India, Kuwait and Mexico. Russ combines his passion for social responsibility with practical actions to make a difference.
