Degrassi Goes to Ecuador

CTV's drama series Degrassi: The Next Generation is acclaimed for never shying from controversial topics and tackling issues that affect young people today. This time, the Degrassi cast goes global, going head-to-head with poverty in rural South America.

Amid the rolling hills of Ecuador's Chimborazo province, the Degrassi cast worked together for two weeks with local community members to build a much-needed dining hall and water system in this impoverished region.

From stepping off the plane in Quito, to dining on guinea pig and dancing with adorable poncho-sporting kids, these young stars' astonishing journey changed their lives forever, and will change yours too.
