Why Me to We Style?

Why Me to We Style

The Story of Me to We Style

Me to We Style started with a simple question.

It was a question that inevitably rang out after every speech that Craig Kielburger delivered about child labour: “Where can I buy ethically made clothing that I know isn’t made from child labour?”

After years of questions, Marc and Craig decided to take matters into their own hands. They persuaded an old university friend of Marc’s, Oliver Madison, to leave a lucrative career in high finance on Wall Street and partner with them to create something unique: a clothing business that met the growing consumer demand for ethical production. A business with a supply chain that had been audited at every step to ensure the garments were produced ethically, without child labour or sweat shop labour.

Me to We Style was born.

Our Impact

Me to We Style seeks to impact the world, one sustainably produced, sweatshop-free garment at a time. By paying a fair wage for the production of our clothing, we ensure that parents can support themselves and their families. And, by being socially conscious in the way we produce this clothing, Me to We is not only combating the world’s reliance on child labour, but also reducing the harmful impact on our global environment.

  • Our apparel is sustainably produced using organic cotton and viscose from bamboo. In 2012 alone, we saved more than 100,000 lbs of pesticides from entering the environment
  • No synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides or defoliants were used in our clothing’s production.
  • We ensure that you get the most ethical, highest quality products, and that farmers, producers and manufacturers all receive a fair wage in the supply chain.

Me to We is changing the world, one T-shirt at a time. Why dress to impress, when you can dress to impact?

Buy a Tee, Plant a Tree

For every item that Me to We sells (with the exception of scarves), a tree is planted in a developing community. To date, Me to We has helped plant more than 538,000 trees as part of Free the Children’s sustainable development model—Adopt a Village. This tree-planting initiative is essential to supporting these agriculturally based economies, which are struggling due to soil erosion. This means that for every Me to We Style item purchased, you will be directly contributing to planting a tree and taking one more step towards social and environmental sustainability.
