Canadian Living Me to We Awards
Honouring extraordinary Canadians building a better world
Every day ordinary Canadians are making extraordinary impacts in our world—from spearheading fundraising campaigns to founding their own social justice organizations. They are raising awareness of issues they’re passionate about, being a voice for the voiceless and spreading incredible change within their communities and even across the globe. In 2005, brothers and Me to We co-founders Craig and Marc Kielburger teamed up with Canadian Living magazine to celebrate these true heroes by creating the first ever Canadian Living Me to We Awards.
The awards are divided into six unique categories: Youth in Action (13-17), Youth in Action (12 and under), In the Community, Social Action, Educator and Free The Children Youth. Prizes for the first five categories includes a $1,000 (CAD) donation to a registered Canadian charity of the winner’s choice, a commemorative award, coverage in an issue of Canadian Living magazine and coverage on www.metowe.com. How it works:

2. Three finalists in each category will be announced on April 17, 2015. Come back to metowe.com/awards to vote for who you think should win in each category.
3. Voting closes May 8, 2015 and winners will be announced at We Day Toronto and in the October issue of Canadian Living Magazine.

Me to We is a philosophy, a manifesto and a movement. It’s about finding purpose by living with compassion, strengthening community and making a commitment to our shared humanity. Simply put, it’s thinking we instead of me.
As an innovative social enterprise, Me to We provides people with better choices for a better world. Through socially conscious and environmentally friendly products and life-changing experiences, Me to We measures the bottom line, not by dollars earned, but by the number of lives we change and the positive social and environmental impact we make. In addition, half of Me to We’s net profit is donated to Free The Children and the other half is reinvested to grow the enterprise.
