Socially Conscious Shopping made Simple at Staples!

Staples Impact Awards - header

The school year may be wrapping up, but there’s no better time to gear up with supplies than right now! That’s why we’re so excited to announce that our brand-new line of socially-conscious school supplies are now available at Staples locations across Canada and staples.ca!

CREDIT Michael Rajzman/ME to WEWe celebrated this announcement at a Staples location in Toronto with schools from across the region who are making a difference in their community and abroad—we even had some special friends who showed up to celebrate too! Virgin Radio Toronto had music pumping throughout the day, and WE Day-favourite JRDN even hopped on stage to sing to the students and teachers!

The event also marked the first-ever Staples Impact Awards. The students and educators who joined us told us that they are passionate about the environment, food security, and a myriad of other issues, and told us how they’re working to be the change! Now, thanks to our partnership with Staples and ACCO Brands, students and parents across Canada have a new way to tackle these issues and make a difference with our first line of eco-friendly school supplies with an impact.

And because every product is directly tied to a life-changing gift to a child or family in a Free The Children community overseas, your purchase will help thousands of children around the world gain access to an education. You can even see exactly where your product makes a difference by using the Track Your Impact code online.

At the event, Free The Children co-founder Marc Kielburger also made a surprise announcement: Staples’ support of a new Free The Children campaign called We Are Rafikis! The campaign will be launching this fall, so stay tuned to ftcproduction.staging.wpengine.com/wearerafikis for information on how you can get involved!

We can’t wait to see how educators and students across Canada embrace our eco-friendly school supplies to help them succeed, while helping students around the world succeed.
